Things will be complicated on Litala's side due to the abuse she's taken-- which is alleviated by the fact that Alissandra is female and all her abusers were male. At the same point one of the strong differences I plan on in the novel vs. the original short is that the relationship takes longer to progress. A&L may have sex soon into the novel, but I think it's going to take some time for them to truly form a relationship. At first it's more likely to be comfort/desperation sex, and evolve from there. Hmmmmm.... As for Marten, I think he's going to be high up, but his relationship with A&L is going to severely impact things, at least for a while. They'll think he's been comprimised, but once A&L start changing things, Marten will be a powerful liason between the two races. I don't really have many thoughts on your other questions at the moment… I think you've got it pretty well sorted out. You just need to decide which way you want to go with it. Though… who he is, his rank in the rebellion, etc, will have a greater effect on the plot. How involved do you want him in things?
